Set deep in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, the two hamlets of Over Worton and Nether Worton are but a mile apart, each having its own church. Over Worton's church stands on the hill, whilst Nether Worton's church nestles in the valley and both are set among trees. Walking on field-paths, hard tracks and country lanes, the route is through wonderful surrounds, with rolling farmland constantly in view. Outlying farms occupy tasteful positions, as do the attractive dwellings of both hamlets. Although the route does not actually pass Nether Worton Church, it is but a few steps in the opposite direction and both churches merit closer inspection. Duns Tew is skirted, but again could easily be incorporated into this walk if so desired. This is a little walk, but big in appeal.
