Three lovely Warwickshire villages feature on this walk, beginning in Oxhill from the beautiful church, then on to Pillerton Hersey and Pillerton Priors. The architecture, mostly of red brick, is interesting and very appealing, the undulating landscape, stunning and far-reaching. With no great exertions, this is a good, moderate walk with plenty to offer.

A pleasant walk but spoiled by the difficult terrain between walk points 7 and 8. There are 2 fields to cross both of which are extremely challenging. There is no discernible pathway, either marked by the landowner or by walker useage because the fields are a mass of hillocks, anthills and in wet weather boggy hollows, which meant zigzagging to wherever a foothold was available. Also the foot bridge has collapsed at one end.

We enjoyed this walk, some great views and nice lunch at The Peacock in Oxhill (12-2 pm every day) Instruction 14 is a little confusing as it relates to Pillerton Priors but the map and coordinates indicate Pillerton Hersey. I believe the coordinates of point 14 (and the pointer on the map) should be changed to SP296476 and Long.52.126085 Lat -1.571259 as this is the position of the stile by which you enter Pillerton Priors before crossing the road per the instructions on the route. Whilst not dog owners the walk passes through many fields with cattle horses and sheep so not really suitable for dog owners. Regards John Middleton
