11/24/2013 - Barry Hood

We did this walk on Sunday 24/11/2013 and it needs updating. Firstly are Pentwyn and Penallt the same village? We drove through Pentwyn looking for Penallt (very confusing - unless you're a local). The Bush Inn pub is now called The New Inn @ Penallt (even more confusing). The fingerpost at Waymark 4 has been broken off and there is no signpost for 'The Barn Lane' so you take the track left of the barn as indicated in the picture. Several large trees have been blown down between waymarks 9 & 10 making it very difficult to follow the marked path. These are quite dangerous and need clearing. Waymarks 13 and 14 need clarifying, there was no barn nor millstones that we could see. Still a very good walk but needs updating.
