A beautiful walk in quiet parts of the Gower: sand-dunes, woods, fields and an open hillside with 360-degree views over South Wales and North Devon, starting just above the classic Gower view of Three Cliffs Bay (Walk 981 starts close to here). The walk descends to the sand-dunes of Nicholaston Burrows then passes through the woods to the Penrice Estate, climbing gently to the central ridge of the Gower at Reynoldston. Here there is a pub for lunch before climbing a little more to the ridge of Cefn Bryn, which is followed back to the start.

Completed this walk again. Still stunning. A couple of the stiles in the middle are a little overgrown and not in good repair but they are passable.

Lovely walk with beautiful views. The contrast between the lush woods and the arid beach still amazes me. The instructions were perfect with minimal time spent on roads.

This is a great walk, and easy to follow, apart from right at the end, where we couldn't find the right track down to the road so just came down a different one. A good mix of terrain, great views, even on a cloudy day, and the pub was at just the right point for a lunchtime break! Definitely recommend this one.
