Peppard Common - Witheridge Hill - Greys Green - Peppard Common
This walk takes you through ancient beechwoods lined with bluebells in spring and then across open fields and a simple golf course with newly planted woodland. Despite having three good pubs and a restaurant, you will pass along quiet paths and the occasional hamlet. Hills are gentle and short. An alternative starting point is given if you arrive by bus. Paths are mostly well-used (but never busy) and easy to follow. There are no stiles if you take the shorter route.
You will certainly see red kites and probably deer, sparrowhawk and kestrel, as well as plentiful woodland and hedgerow birds. This is the best bluebell walk we know and you can picnic beside them in a sheltered valley floor to enjoy the sight and fragrance.
