This is a delightful, scenic walk from the picturesque shoreline village of Plockton along the shore of Loch Carron to Duncraig Castle. Plockton, now a Natural Trust conservation village, no longer depends on crofting and fishing, but benefits greatly from its attraction for artists, photographers and tourists.... For information re Duncraig Castle see Additional.
Over most of the walk paths are good; only where going through rhododendron clumps are they a little difficult. This is a very good family walk (with dog). Light refreshments may be had at the Castle; a wide range of refreshments is offered in Plockton.

A lovely walk which we were able to extend easily on forestry track/footpath to take in the view on Carn a Bhealach Mhor, creating a 9 mile round walk in total. Duncraig Castle at the moment, is closed due to renovation, opening again in 2018.
