Port Mooar - Maughold Head - Maughold - Maughold
Brooghs - Port e Vullen
A safe and not too strenuous walk over the clifftops with splendid views both inland and along the cliffs, there are important colonies of cormorants and kittiwakes; puffins and seals may also be seen. There is the opportunity to visit the historic village of Maughold with its well-preserved Celtic and Viking crosses at the old cemetery, as well as a 14th Century cross in the church. The start and end of the walk are both served by the Manx Electric Railway, although there is a bit of a walk to each station. There are links via the railway to two other described walks and all three can easily be done in a day. Bellevue Station is about halfway between the end of this walk and the start of Walk 4091 and if there is no convenient tram, it takes about half an hour to walk between the two.
