The Point Lynas Lighthouse is distinctively visible almost from the start of the walk. When you get to it, the side facing the sea has the lamp and the huge lens visible. The buildings used to be for the lighthouse keepers' houses, but now the light it automated and the buildings are available for rent.
The path goes on to overlook the sea just beyond the point. There you can often see a porpoise or a dolphins looking for fish in the rushing water. Binoculars can be useful. Farther along the walk, at the right time of year, there are nesting seabirds on the steep sea cliffs.
