Starting at The Bell pub in Purleigh, this circular walk takes in some lovely views whilst walking through the Essex countryside. En route you pass through a beautiful private residence, a couple of farms, a long stretch through a nature reserve and you get a chance to browse the shops at Maldon town centre. Then you get to walk along the promenade beside the River Blackwater with excellent views, tea shops, food stalls and a large play area for children.
There are plenty of places for refreshments on this route which makes this an ideal family walk.
Some of the paths across the farmer's fields haven't been maintained but looking at the directional arrows on the waymark photos will point you in the right direction.
