A half-day walk from Richmond, taking in the falls and banks of the River Swale, allowing you plenty of time to explore the lovely town and castle found in Richmond.

This walk takes you from the centre of the Georgian market town down to the riverbanks, where it then takes you east towards Easby Abbey. The return route follows that of the old railway line.

Lovely walk. Abbey ruins are fascinating and well worth spending time to visit. Easy walk. There is a cafe on the old Station site with shops, brewery and facilities that appeared fairly new.
