Starting from the southern end of the old fortified town, the hike takes us along bottom of the imposing cliffs and the famous Puente Nuevo before we drop down to the River Guadalevin. Next we wander northwards through timeless and charming farming countryside as we make our way up the valley. We climb up the clifftop and follow the spectacular footpath along the cliff edge into the town. The last part of the walk takes a route through the town that visits most of the important historical sites, allowing you to spend whatever time you want visiting. The route eventually brings us back to the square of San Francisco where we started.

Walked March 2020. Good introductory walk to the Ronda area but there's plenty more of the town to explore once you get your bearings. At the time of walking the path that cuts up towards the Molino off to the the right, described in WP2, leading to WP3 was closed as it was being improved. As already noted in the walk description you simply continue on the main track to WP4. You still get a good view of the bridge as you descend on the road.
