This walk uses good paths, particularly useful in the winter. The views are great, helped with the leaves off the trees. Visit the highest point in the Forest of Dean and pass the Beacon nearby. The church in Ruardean is worth exploring, so try and allow time for this.

We struggled with this walk as the Masons Arms which is key to the navigation for this walk is no longer a pub. Following requests for help from locals we did eventually find the turn off past the old pub however failing light and lack of confidence in the instructions made us turn round and retrace our walk. Photos were not particularly helpful as no distinguishing features in the pictures.
