Puig d'en Farineta (also known as 'Baset') is a 'real' mountain in miniature. It has steep sides, a rocky ridge, a precipitous north face and a proper peak - albeit only 328 metres high. If you enjoy walking in this kind of terrain and are not averse to a little steep climbing and scrambling over some large boulders, this may be just the walk for you. You will be rewarded at the top by a superb panorama, stretching from Dragonera and Sant Elm in the west to S'Esclop and Garrafa in the east and encompassing the broad sweep of the S'Arraco Valley.
