Saddington - Gumley - Laughton - Mowsley - Saddington

This picturesque walk uses part of The Leicestershire Round and passes through three villages. There are three pubs en route. Though there is only one climb, the walk's length and a plethora of stiles (about thirty) suggest a rating of 'moderate'.

Did this walk last Sunday afternoon, it's a very nice walk. There are places that are quite muddy but that's to be expected, March 2018, as some of the fields hold livestock. We did find one section, along the brook between waypoints 22 & 23 quite difficult to navigate as the path isn't well trodden and has been fenced very tightly by the 'land owner'. The ground is also very soft in places, being adjacent to the brook. Otherwise the paths are well marked and would say the route is very dog friendly as the styles even have gates for dogs, which I'd not come across before.
