This walk is forest, woodland and open countryside. In Salcey Forest is a tree-top walk above the tree canopy and a children's play area. The start of the walk including the tree-canopy is accessible by the disabled. There is a café at the start / finish and two pubs halfway round for refreshment. Outside the forest there are good views across the valley.

Went to do this walk on 9/4/16. There was no finger board markings by the café. After getting to the treetop walk, couldn't find any path that followed the instruction. Spent along time walking the different paths, eventually gave up. Very disappointed.

Walked on 24/10/12 very good underfoot despite lots of rain. Can recommend the Lamb pub in Stoke Goldington.

Excellent walk, particularly for an autumn day; especially with the views from elevated treetops section. There are good catering facilities at the Forest cafe. Generally good paths and mixture habitats for wildlife. Mike Hall & Angela Pankhurst
