This lovely, short, gentle stroll is perfect for an evening walk to take in the scenery of the North Norfolk Coast. It starts off by the sea at the end of a short road north of Salthouse. The route follows the road into Salthouse and then a footpath east to a small lake set amongst lush green fields. Take a moment here to look out over the water and see what birds can be spotted, as I am sure there are some rare ones about!

From this lovely small lake the route heads north to join the Norfolk Coastal Path and follow the shingle beach back to the car park. En route to the car park you can head up to a lovely viewpoint which is called Gramborough Hill. The hill stands about 10 or 11m above the sea, so although of almost no height, the surrounding fields are much lower, allowing for some amazing views of the coast and surrounding salt marshes.

A terrific short walk to set up the day. A variety of wildlife, some big WWII guns and hundreds of swallows feeding over the North Sea and all within 2.5 miles. No problems with instructions. Parking might be an issue on a busy day, there are no parking fees.
