San Mateu Countryside Circular

We begin by walking south from Sant Mateu before heading west to pass through the timeless countryside of the Pla de Sant Gelabert. Passing an unusual walled well compound, we are soon walking through pinewoods before briefly joining the San Antonio road. Next we head north though lovely typical Ibiza countryside ablaze with colour in spring and soon climb up to join the old San Mateu to Santa Innes lane. Enjoying the panoramas, we have only to follow this lovely lane down to the emblematic Pla de Albarca. We finish by following the lane back to the church where we started.
