Leaving the busy little township of San Rafael, we are soon in peaceful Ibiza countryside as we wend our way north on quiet country lanes or tracks. We meet and cross the main road and have to walk a little way along the side of it, fortunately mostly on the redundant original road (there is an alternative explained at Waymark 6), before taking a charming footpath through pinewoods and open farmland ablaze with colourful wildflowers in spring. Before long we arrive at the enormous and brightly coloured discotheque building, which we skirt to follow a quiet residential road which will bring us to the picturesque San Rafael Church. From here it is just a few hundred metres back to the start.

Proof walked 22 January 2019. I have changed a couple of pictures and improved the text as well as suggesting an alternative segment from way mark 6 for anyone not wishing to walk beside the main road.Otherwise all good and a smashing little family ramble. Jim Arymar
