There are good long stretches of this walk on tarmac paths, starting on Mill Wall and heading out to the coast, walking beside the River Stour, crossing the Royal St George's Golf Links and along the beach on the White Cliffs Country Trail. Then we re-cross the golf links, heading inland to the bird observatory and back to Sandwich on some charming Kent country roads and paths.

10/6/2021 Super walk in beautiful countryside and Stour riverside. But note that due to the Open golf tournament on the Royal St George's course (July 11-18) the gate at Waymark 7 was closed. Don't despair, walk on and find a second gate about 500 yards further along on the right and this path will join the marked route at the sign to the Bird Onservatory Field Centre (Waymark 9)
