Santa Gertrudis – Font D'en Miquelet Circular

From Santa Gertrudis we begin by rambling westwards through pinewoods and visiting the spring Pou Gatzara before continuing through timeless Ibiza countryside to reach the old San Mateu road. We have a short but unavoidable stretch along the normally quiet road to reach the Font d'en Miguelet with its unique interior decorations. From here we will head south through peaceful countryside, ablaze with colour in spring. We will pass a classic ruined farmhouse and eventually reach the road that links Eivessa and San Rafael. After a brief stop at the bar S'Hort Nou for refreshments (provided it is not a Sunday) we will begin our final leg heading northwards, eventually to link up with our outward route, from which point we have only a short hike back to Santa Gertrudis.

Due to the closure of a track this walk has been slightly amended and updated in February 2018. There are no significant changes to walk length or height gain. It remains a lovely and interesting walk and strongly recommended. Jim Arymar
