A delightful walk along the coast to Santon Head, with a return inland.

There is some road-walking on very quiet lanes but much of the route is along the coastal path. There is a small hill-fort at the start, with good views over the neighbouring beach.

The return includes a very pleasant stretch through a manicured glen, following a small stream.

Did this walk whilst on holiday on the IOM and the cliff-top views are really spectacular. Coastal path was often overgrown, muddy and at times quite close to cliff-side (WM02 nr 1st bridge). Not ideal if walking on a windy day. Walk could have done with more detail - there are in fact 2 footbridges to cross both with quite steep descents and climbs. There is also a good climb thru bracken in WM04 to reach WM05.
