Starting from the attractive village of Shenington, with pretty thatched cottages and ornate church built in warm Hornton stone, this walk crosses the Oxfordshire / Warwickshire border to Tysoe and then back again to the Oxfordshire village of Epwell. Each village has its own church, all with towers of Norman origin, but each very different in appearance. The route takes in a disused airfield now used for go-karting and is across undulating countryside, with hills and distant views across the lovely Sor Brook Valley. There are some steep climbs, but manageable to the acclimatised walker. Add to this the rural settings, meadows and woodland; the walk is varied, interesting and has much appeal.
