The Trailway has become a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, so much so that a new Trailway car park has been built; this is where we start our walk along bridleways, footpaths and quiet country roads. There are a few stiles, which I reckon makes a real walk! :-), gates, kissing-gates and bridges to negotiate, along with that long, gradual accent of Okeford Hill, all made worth it with far-reaching views of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. Then the more abrupt descent through the woods, to pick up The Shillingstone Village Trail and lastly The North Dorset Trailway and Shillingstone Station, back to the car park.
