This walk starts at a forestry car park and for the most part follows well-maintained forest tracks. After passing through mature woodland, the path descends to the banks of the River Dee. It follows the banks of the river for about a mile before rising again through open woodland, from which good views over the Dee Valley are provided.

After entering more mature woodland, the walk starts to descend and provides wonderful panoramic vistas over the valley of the River Feugh. The walk then continues back to the car park along a marked routeway.

Beautiful walk especially the part That follows the route of the Dee Some good wildlife to be seen with red squirrels, buzzards, roe deer being only a few of the one's we saw today. My wife not to happy with me as I thought it was 7.2 K and not miles and can only say Ian Cordiner must be a very fit lad as I was breathing out of my proverbial, when I got to the highest point, we were using the viewranger waymark system , which was very accurate at most points, apart from being a bit confusing towards the end of route. still enjoyed the walk very much
