Silkstone Common - Willow Bridge - Penistone

The route uses quiet lanes and roads and public rights of way. It has excellent views of south Pennine landscapes all the way.
Leaving the railway station, you quickly reach open fields, then walk along a farm track, into woodland, open fields and a stretch along a farm track. After crossing a main road you quickly reach an old pack-horse bridge. Soon you reach the Trans Pennine Trail for the last leg to Penistone Station.
