This is a quiet part of Berkshire but quite easily reached from Reading or Henley. The walk is almost entirely along country footpaths or bridleways, with just a couple of short stretches on minor roads. There are a few inclines up and down, but nothing too strenuous. There are a couple of easy short cuts you can take on the way out (but you would miss the pub at Rotherfield Greys) and a highly recommended long cut (to include the pub at Rotherfield Peppard). Some sections would be muddy after rain, so judge what footwear to use according to the weather.

Very peasant walk with clear directions. There seem to be a few kissing gates and stiles added since the walk was originally submitted, but nothing that should cause any confusion. I'd advise that extra care is taken from Waymark 12 where the path emerges onto a road. The undergrowth has grown and you can't easily see any traffic until you set foot on the road, so listen carefully first. My only complaint was that I didn't see a single cow at cowfield farm!!

A great walk with impeccable directions, some fine views and more than adequate provision for refreshment if desired! At WM6 the narrow verge-less road into Rotherfield Greys was busy with cars and bikes, so I'd recommend the slight short-cut down Dogs Lane as a safer alternative. I didn't take the long-cut at WM8 but the wooded section in 9 and 10 was very pleasant if you don't need the pub stop at Rotherfield Peppard. Completed in 1hr 40.
