A moderate circular walk from St Margaret's Bay, taking in the fantastic views of the English Channel along the clifftops and on past the South Foreland Lighthouse (NT) and up to the viewpoint at Fox Hill Down, overlooking the busy ferry terminal at Dover.

An excellent walk. For the record the car park at St Margaret's Bay is free until the first weekend in May and there is now a very nice tea shop at the South Foreland Lighthouse. The tour at the lighthouse is excellent. The route is very well described and a lunch stop overlooking ferry terminal is fascinating even if you are not into ships! For a change we took the track which runs inland of the Saxon Shoreway to return to the Lighthouse.

Thank you for the great comment. I'm afraid your identity has not come through to us. Please get in touch so we can thank you personally.

Nice walk with far reaching and great views. Take care on the cliff edges as the path is dangerously close to peril! Lighthouse is £4 for adults and they only take cash so it may not be worth it as views are superb anyway. A nice walk for a nice sunny day. Car park at the bay gets busy and is 50p per hour now. Recommended 9/10.

Brilliant views. Worth stopping at the lighthouse for the National Trust tour.
