From the car park our way takes us through the cemetery and then down a quiet lane to enter the southern end of the Tregargus Valley, managed by a local Trust. We now have a fascinating walk up the entire valley with the chance to visit and explore at least five old mill complexes and their associated infrastructures of water leats, water wheels and tramways. Next we head along a recently cleared footpath and are soon walking on quiet narrow Cornish lanes until we branch off for the final cross-country leg back down to Trevear Farm and finish by retracing our footsteps to the start and nearby pub.
