This circular walk starting in Stanway, Essex has a lot of variety en-route. Using roads, field paths a section through woodland and a stretch along The Essex Way. There are some excellent views to be had, especially whilst walking through the Colne Valley. There are also plenty of refreshments to be has on this scenic walk, including a cafe, two pubs and a retail park. All the paths were clear (March 2023) with just a couple not being signposted, but the arrows on the waymark photos will guide you in the correct direction.
(Between waymarks 27 and 29, please stay on the signposted paths as the farmer has had trouble with trespassers in his woods since Essex County Council diverted and closed a few paths.)
