The walk leaves Stilton centre at the village pump and quickly gains open country. The tracks are easy to follow and take us through Folksworth and Caldecote. The section from Denton to Glatton follows a well-maintained green byway, between extensive blackthorn hedgerows (sloe gin and walking-stick lovers note!) The pub at Glatton, the Addison Arms, has recently been refurbished and is under new management, offering a good lunch menu. The return is pretty direct, though it can be a little muddy crossing fields after rain.
