This walk starts at Stover Country Park, with its wildlife sanctuaries, large lake and informative visitor centre. Using parts of the Templar Way and the Heritage Trail we head out through the woods, along a country lane to open farmland, where we walk along the bank of the River Teign for a way, before returning along the disused Stover Canal and through woodland to the park.

The walk is generally on the flat and easy going. There is one kissing-gate at Waymark 13, which has a small flight of steps leading up to it and a couple of small wooden bridges made of two railway sleepers and a handrail.

I love this walk. So much variety. I have walked it 5 times plus this year, in both directions. Recommend for families.
