Mostly on grassy margins and farm tracks, the route takes us, from the start outside Stowmarket at Onehouse, first to Great Finborough via the golf course, then on to the hamlet of Buxhall. Quiet lanes and field-paths lead to the village of Rattlesden, hidden picturesquely in a dip, before returning along good tracks and byways to the start.

This has to be one of my favourite walks. Plenty to see en route, and near perfect walk instructions. Only one update, which is at waymark 19, after you have turned right into Birds Green, the road bends sharp left after 50m. Here you need to take the lane on t he right. This leads to the fork,where you go left to the village hall. As there is limited parking at the start, an ideal parking place to start this walk is at the village hall at waymark 13 (IP14 3DJ)
