This is an enjoyable walk, no stiles en route and there are fine views of the marshes and countryside. Soon after walking through the nature reserve you come to the Huntsman Inn, where there is an excellent blackboard menu and real ales to choose from.

Having done this walk today, we found that there is now no footpath at waypoint 6 so we carried on along the road (which is quiet and has nice views) to the junction and turned left along Wood Lane. There is no footpath to waypoints 7 or 8 so we had to miss these out. We took a footpath off to the right where waypoint 8 would have led to 9, saving a little road walking. At the Huntsman Inn which is now closed to the public, you need to turn left not right as stated. Roughly half way along Barn Hill we took a footpath off to the right over two fields, a small lane and over two stiles back on to Low Road and the car park at the beginning of the walk. This was still a most enjoyable walk with peace, quiet and nice views.
