Starting off just by the town centre this route heads past the busy high street shops and up to the Market Hill. Here there are plenty of shops to visit and cafes to eat at if you are hungry!

The route leads away from the crowds, aiming for the meadows path on the north side of town. You will join the river at St Joseph's and follow it to a lovely weir and along a narrow river past several pools. Look out for all the wildlife in the area: kingfishers, herons, ducks and other birds, butterflies and dragonflies call the meadows their home.

After arriving at The Mill Hotel the route crosses the meadow one last time before joining the Old Railway Path which leads you down to Friars Meadow and one final river section before returning to the car park.
