A mostly flat and undemanding walk on the north side of Cheltenham. The walk heads across fields and through occasional woodland, alongside streams and through attractive villages. Much of the walk is along good and easy to follow tracks. There are excellent views of the Cotswold Ridge and Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. But the walk firmly stays at the bottom of the hill, so there is never a need to climb it.

Amy’s cafe is adjacent to the very modern community centre and houses a lot of very interesting information commemorating the life of Amy Johnson who lived here! It’s a really lovely Cafe and well worth a stop on this walk. We sat down and relaxed over a tasty cup of coffee and some cake whilst learning all about the incredible life of this amazing lady!

Walk completed 11 October 2021. Walked with friends on a warm October day with route as described. Although there are no places mentioned to stop for a cuppa/comfort break we were delighted to find at Waymark 16 a sign for “Amy’s Cafe” it is about 150m past the Mill Lane turnoff and is housed in the local community hub. A warm welcome, tea, coffee, cake and snacks plus access to toilets made this lovely walk even better.
