Sydling St Nicolas is a delightful village nestling in a lovely valley beside Sydling Water, a fast-flowing chalk stream. There are watercress beds a short distance to the south of the village. Starting by the village pub, which serves excellent food, this short, circular walk follows good paths to ascend relatively gently to the top of Eastfield Hill. There are excellent views down to the village and across the beautiful Dorset countryside. The route descends gently back to the village.
