This is an enjoyable walk with plenty of 'history' within the villages. Unfortunately the De La Pole Arms, Wingfield (NOW REOPENED - AUGUST 2011), three-quarters of the way round, is up for sale at time of writing and closed. We will at Waymark 4 direct you to a pub in another village: The Old King's Head, Brockdish, is open seven days a week.
The route is mostly across meadows and along field edges and quiet country lanes and uses part of the Angles Way route. If paths are overgrown, ring Suffolk County Council - Central on 01473-830010.
