Take the train from Central Sydney to Cronulla, board the ferry for the short crossing to sleepy Bundeena, gateway to the Royal National Park and take a walk along the sandy beach to Jibbon Head with its fantastic views back to Cronulla and with its ancient aboriginal rock carvings, before following sandy trails through the Bush back to Bundeena. You might be lucky and see dolphins in the sparkling blue water or encounter a bush wallaby going about its business, as I did. This is a fantastic introductory bush walk, right on the doorstep of Sydney.

Thanks are owed to the Dharawal people, traditional custodians of this land.
