The walk goes anti-clockwise from the centre of Tarporley through a golf course to reach the village of Eaton. Restricted byways are then followed to reach the Sandstone trail which is followed south before a switch to the north to regain the start. After a few stiles at the start the route is served by gates and offers good views of Jodrell Bank and Beeston Hill.

4/8/2023 - Graham Moss

Walked 08-04-23 Another excellent walk from Jim. Clear walk instructions and an easy navigable walk. Just one correction to the walk instructions. At WP11 after crossing the stile head half right (not half left) towards the far corner of a large farm building. At WP30 the fingerpost has been replaced and the way forward is signed for Beeston Castle on the fingerpost. At WP35 I went through the gate but the field looked very rough and unused so decided to carry straight on. This led me to an underpass for the A49 and then the path continued to Nantwich Road.where I turned left back to the start.
