It doesn't look much on the map, but this circular walk has several unexpected delights and a good variety despite being mainly flat. The outward and return paths take you alongside farmland and meadows, but the long connecting path is the Eddisbury Way with a zig-zag route through the grounds of no less than three large country houses, but there the route is clearly marked. However, it also takes you twice across parts of a large and busy golf course which is now bigger than shown on the map, and here the route is very poorly marked, which should be an entertaining challenge. There is a big mixture of stiles, gates and bridges and all of them are in good order, and while the paths are not always visible if you are using the App to find your way you should not have much of a problem. You can expect to come across horses, ponies and cows in parts of the year.

The walk is probably suitable for children, senior citizens and anyone in-between. Excellent for dogs small and medium sized dogs, but large dogs may have a problem with one or two stiles. The route is hopeless for wheelchairs and buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled but boots will be best and there should be no problems for anyone wearing shorts in summer. On your route there is a bench seat, phone box and rubbish bin on the village green at the start and finish, but no other facilities.
