Starting in the small village of Tattingstone which is close to the popular Alton Water reservoir, this scenic walk takes you through some beautiful sections of the Suffolk countryside. You use field paths, country lanes and sections through five different woods. There are some lovely views to be had and a few benches here and there for a break. All paths were clear and quite dry (Feb 2023) but a few weren't signposted, but by noting the arrows on the waymark photos as a guide, you will be fine.

There are three pubs en-route, The Wheatsheaf Beer House, just up the road from waymark 2, The Royal Oak pub (waymark 14) and The Case is Altered pub (waymark 32).
