Starting in the small attractive village of Terling in Essex, this walk goes North through Essex arable farmland, passing small woodlands. The walk is largely on farm tracks, small roads and field margins which makes it useful in winter to avoid a lot of Essex mud. The walk visits White Notley where there is a pub and a church. The return route is also on farm tracks and in spring passes through a blue bell wood. Fairstead Church is a delightful small church at which to pause on the return route. Buzzards, Peregrine Falcon, Hare and Roe deer have all been seen on this walk.
