Rewalked the route yesterday. The instructions as written in section 6 the walk are correct. After crossing the double stile you follow the hedgerow on your left up the slight rise to a further waymarker post after which the right of way cuts across the field to the final stile

Very good walk, completed 27/8/15 in sunshine with showers. Very good blackberry picking en route. It might be me, but at the end of point 6 I think the instruction should be 'follow hedgerow on your right (not left) until you see stile to your left in the top right corner of the field...'

This is a very pleasant and easy walk which we will do again. At point 6, it meets Walk no. 5996 point 9 and the combination would make a roughly 7 mile walk that includes a lot more of the towpath (and avoids most of the cattle pastures!) and we plan to try this next time.

Some roads to cross and some fields will contain livestock. Off lead walking along bridleways and canal bank.
