The walk starts in the market town of Settle and climbs over the fell to visit the idyllic hamlet of Langcliffe, before slowly climbing to give unparalleled views of the three peaks, with the Lake District hills as a backdrop. A visit to the imposing waterfall of Catrigg Force and the chance to explore the caves above Settle make this an exciting and adventurous walk.

Delightful walk on 29/5/2022. A highlight was the great swathes of early flowering purple orchids along stretches of the route. Masses of them!

Walked August 2020. Very interesting walk taking in some dramatic limestone geology. Best walked on a clear day. No navigation issues encountered.

Really lovely walk. Plenty to see even in winter. The waterfall is well worth the short detour.

What a stunning walk! Did this walk today in beautiful Autumn sunshine. I have to say that it took us six hours to complete - there are so many things to explore and glorious views to marvel over with a flask of hot Ribena! Definitely the very best walk we've done in a long time

Wow. I am sure this will be my walk of 2014. Loved it. The views to the Yorkshire Three Peaks - the Waterfall - the caves. The path back into town was wild, lonely and utterly beautiful. Thanks so much for the walk - some photos at my blog - http://mappiman.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/010114-land-of-hope-and-glory.html
