The River Ayr from Sea to Source Part 5: Wellwood to Glenbuck

The path joins the river soon after skirting the trees. The path is firm, mostly level walking, leaving the river and passing through trees and countryside. It skirts the village of Muirkirk and the river begins to narrow. For a while the walker is some distance from the river travelling through moors, farmland and trees before reaching the A70 once again. This walk ends at picturesque Glenbuck Loch.
