This is the second part of Walk 228 which starts at Haytor. The second part begins at Stover Country Park. Here it follows the path of the Stover Canal that is also disused and now overgrown in some places. The Stover Canal ends at Newton Abbot where it meets the Teign Estuary. The walk follows the foreshore to the picturesque seaside village of Shaldon.
