An excellent circular walk with a wide variety of good views. Most of the route is fairly flat, but there is a short and steep section on rustic steps up the steep slope out of the dungeon past the waterfall. (A dungeon is a local word for a steep sided wooded valley). The majority of the footpaths are well used and unlikely to get muddy except for a few patches through the wood. There are no stiles and the kissing gates are in good order.

The walk is suitable for children, senior citizens, and anyone in-between. It's also excellent for dogs, but hopeless for wheelchairs or buggies. Suitable footwear will be anything flat soled and stout, but boots will be best. There are refreshments and toilets at the café by the car park and several bench seats can be found along the first half of the walk. There will be no problems with wearing shorts.
