Bury Mount is all that remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle, erected in the late 11th or early 12th Centuries. It has been restored and begins this walk from the centre of Towcester. After visiting the mount, the walk takes in the recently opened Watermeadows, formerly part of the Easton Neston Estate and after that, a parkland on the edge of Towcester.
