A very short walk across the beautiful Traigh Iar beach and up to a prehistoric standing stone (MacLeod's Stone). A few steps higher bring you to the summit, with fine views across two bays.

It's a short walk but you may want to allow more time to enjoy the birdlife and the views and have fun on the beach!

From the walk you can see the island of Taransay, perhaps best known as the location of the BBC reality show 'Castaway'.

Please note that the return is along a stretch of road, but it is fairly quiet and most of the way there is a good-sized verge.
