Starting from the charming and very popular town of Valdemosa, we shall head north-east up a delightful valley largely given over to olive-tree cultivation. Later we shall begin to climb the northern side of the Moleta de Pastoritx and from here at lot of the hike is through oak forests. One or two parts of the route require careful attention not to miss our way. The occasional views are outstanding. As we circle Moleta de Pastoritx (753m), we will come across much evidence of important forest industry from past times. We will also visit the rather sad remains of a once-magnificent water source, the Font de Son Veri, built in 1591. Our way continues to curve north as we head back to Valdemosa, ending in the heart of this interesting and historic place.
